Can I just ask....

Primarily for my American friends. We're getting footage here of the fires in CA. Just like we got footage of the flood in New Orleans. Now, I'm sort of noticing something. In NO, it seems like there was a lot more panic, a lot more people left starnded, and the evac centres looked like absolute chaos. I'm not seeing this with CA. I'm seeing relative calm, Bush and Arnie walking around the effected areas, and today I saw massage therapists working in the evac centres and clowns walking around to keep the kiddies happy..... Er, am I missing something here? It sort of looked like a 3rd world thing in New Orleans, CA looks a hell of a lot calmer. They're talking already about rebuilding and low interest funds to help, but then I am seeing people in New Orleans still living in caravans and what appears to be nothing being done.....

Oh give me a break. The problem between NO & CA, is the people in NO don't want to get off their sorry asses and welfare and take responsibility for their own selves. Period. They sat in their homes waiting for the government to save them. What ever happened to self reliance? They get everything handed to them. No one is holding them back from getting an education and a job except themselves and Je$$ie Jack$on & Al $harpton. The people in CA are helping THEMSELVES, that's what the difference is. Thee is no excuse for looting or riots. NO got BILLIONS of dollars in aid, $50,000.00 RV's that are now piles of crap because they trashed them. Katrina hit Mississippi too. You don't hear anything about that, do you? Different class of people.
