the first one is "Cold Magic" and the second is a (so far?) 3-book series starting with "The one hundered thousand" (I think!?) would be helpful if I could string enough time together to start.

I will let you know how they go and if they're worth trying. You and I have similar taste in books (Harry Dresden FTW!)
