Wedding photos - Lot 1: horses

ok, here's the first lot.

The TB that my brother rode in on. Beautiful, no?

All 3 of the boys. Aren't they just gorgious? The heavy black was my utter  favourite. His name is Mac and he's a Percheron. i WANT!!!

Mac was a cuddle-bug. I was happy to oblige.

Can I take him home?

Loving da pony; worried about those soup-plate hooves landng on my sandled feet!

Such good horses. The guys were really nice as well.

They love their horses :-)

Momentary chaos as the carriage over shoots the first driveway and has to come in via the exit where the guys had taken the horses to keep out of the way :P

The bride arrives. These two were sweet old things too.

I am inordinarily proud of this shot :-D

The Bride and Groom leave. Those horses were absolute saints, standing around waiting while the professional photographer took a million shots. My two would have just snorted at her and gone on their way. ;-)

Hehe. It's the carriage dapple grey I'm taking to be precise;)

I got your sms, I'm so out of it and sick too so I'm not going to ride tomorrow. Maybe Thurs/Fri if you are better, or I might go on my own (I would pick up the stuff if that suits too).

Anyway, I'll sms you tomorrow arvo/evening re. riding.

I hope you get better soon, rest up and look after yourself (or even better, get Al to look after you).

Hubba hubba Maggie baby!!! You looked absolutely fabulous. Would have liked to see your hair up, but it still looked really nice. Love the shoes. Highly approve. If I had smaller feet I would definitely borrow them. I am impressed woman. You should dress up more often. It really suits you. You looked really really good. And that is me being brutally honest.

I felt stupid and very uncomfortable. The shoes were a pain in the ass as there was no heel strap and I couldn't for the life of me find shoe-savers anywhere to help keep them in place. They were also awfu to dance in which is why I am barefoot in a boquet catching picture I will be putting up tonight. Couple that with the fact that I could only STOMP acros the driveway in them as walking normally resulted in those stupid little stones entering them and hurting like hell. So no, will not be dressing up again any time soon and highly doubt I will ever feel even remotely comfortable doing so. The only fore-seeable time I will ever get my self up like that again is Jen and Dave's wedding in March. After that, forget it. I did put my hair up but it made my face look kind of harsh, if that makes sense? When I took it down and brushed it, it all looked a lot softer and feminine.

You don't need heel straps. You just flip flop around in them or drag your feet. Scrunch your toes up and your heel stays put. Its just part of being a girl. Sucks yes, but does look good. You do get used to being dressed up and the stupid and the uncomfortable feeling does go away. I know, trust me. I feel exactly the same way about dresses. but I am used to the dressier stuff for work - slacks and nice tops and heels. You looked awesome. It will be a shame if you don't do it more often!!!

Bugger that, it's uncomfortable and unbearable, why the heck should I do it if i hate it? Anyway, we've been through this before; I do n ot enjoy it, I do not want to do it ergo I will not be doing it unless forced. I may have looked alright on the outside but on the inside I was squirming the whole time and not enjoying myself at all anytime anyone pointed out how I looked. Thankfully whenever Martin or Diana were around the attention was well and trully off me, they looked so good!!! I'll be posting up a few pics tonight... because even tho I am ill, I am doing on OT shift. Why? Because 12 hours OT sounds soooooo goooooood.....
