Two large fires... and killer winds to go with it!

Oh man it was insane here in Melbourne yesterday! Absolutely insane. I drove Al to work and was planning on putting the horses rugs on after breakfast but it started raining on the way home so I did a diversion. Glad I did. It was INSANELY windy. Was a struggle to get the Weathabetta's on! I love those light rugs but jesus they are nightmare when it's windy. Anyay, got the nags rugged up, headed home and defrosted in a hot bath. Had just settled on the sofa and was reading when the pager went off:
