One of the most incredible traits of our cute cat children is their ability to switch off their minds and let their intrusive thoughts hold a party in the now vacant space where their mind once was.

It is an incredible ability to get out of one's head that would serve us hardworking hoomans rather well considering how we have the tendency to build things up in our heads that have nothing to do with the reality we actually live in. but unlike our cat colleagues, we do have the ability to choose what we do and how we do it. And that means we can take in a collection of chaotic cat child sillies and use them as a mental vacation to get out of our own heads and rest from the work week. So take a moment away from what you were doing and let your mind vacate space in your brain for these hissterical felines.

Black cats are a blessing. It is long rumored that black cats bring bad luck, but nothing could be further from the truth. Black cats are a true blessing of cuteness, beauty, and lots of feline funnies. We asked the black cat pawrents around the office why having a black cat is such a blessing, and these are our favorite answers, in no particular order:

1. "I was gaming in the dark and was sure my cat was lounging next to me on the table. Every time I lost, I talked it through with my cat, like she was there to help me through the frustration. After I turned the game off, I realized I was talking to my crumpled black sweatshirt all along."
    
2. "A couple of nights ago, I was about to fall asleep when I felt my absolute unit of a cat jump onto the bed. He usually does that when I'm falling asleep, so I was not surprised, but this time - he was climbing onto my chest, putting his face an inch from mine, and releasing the loudest meow out of his mouth. I opened my eyes in horror and saw nothing but his glowing eyes in the darkness of his fur and the room. With his chonker weight pressing on my chest, I thought that this is what paralysis demon must feel like."
    
3. "My partner and I were looking for my void cat everywhere for a few minutes, just because I wondered where she could be. We called her name a few times, and nothing. She doesn't usually respond to her name, but we walked around the house, looking in her usual hiding spots and napping places, we couldn't find her. I started worrying, but then my partner called me and pointed to the turned-off TV - lo and behold, my cat was just sitting in front of the black screen in complete camouflage. Panic averted."

Never are we happier than waking up and realizing it's Furiday, feline fam. Our second happiest meowrning is on Caturday, but we know Caturday is coming. By the time we get to Furiday, we're not sure which way is up or what day it is. But when we finally get there, it's a purrfectly joyous occasion. It means that it's the last day of the work week and we get a fresh batch of lol-worthy cat memes cooked up by our I Can Has Cheezburger family.

And, oh boy, have y'all been cooking recently! This week's serving of silly cattos in meme form might be their silliest yet. Thank you, Lol-catters for keeping the pawsome tradition of Lolcats alive. Becoming a father is a very huge responsibility. You have to dedicate a lot of your time and sleep to raising a small being. This is even the case when you become a pet parent. And it's very different types of parenting according to each age. You're not going to parent a newborn the same way you parent a teenager. That's crazy, and weird tbh… Anyway, take this guy who has taken on the position as the father to a newborn kitten. 

This isn't his first kitty rodeo, he has always loved cats and already has two of his own! But this kitten is fresh out of the oven. She's itty bitty and very needy. She needs to be fed regularly, stimulated to go to the bathroom, shown lots of love, kept warm, etc. It's not an easy job for just anybody! But this guy is not only up for the challenge, he seems to be enjoying every second of it. He loves being a kitten papa so much, that he documents his days raising the tiny feline friend. There are two things that will always make us happy if you give them to us: chocolate and cats. We will never not be happy if you show up randomly with either of those two things. Now, we already have four cats at home, so a fifth cat might end up being a bit of a shock, but we would never say no to a kitty in need. Especially if you rescued the poor thing from neglectful neighbors or something like that. So when we saw this story of a boyfriend surprising his cat-loving girlfriend with an itty bitty kitten, we couldn't not share it with you.

This girlfriend has always wanted a cat, but could never have one. Her family wouldn't allow it, then she lived with roommates, then in an apartment where pets were not purrmitted, but now, she and her boyfriend are finally living in their own place (congratulations!).
