RSPCA horses
May. 22nd, 2008 05:17 pmRSPCA has finally put horses on their adoption web page. What gets me is that most of these horses are barely ground broken, let alone saddle broke. I mean, one is still a stallion FFS. Yes the horses were in pretty bad condition, but they look great now. Plenty ready to have been worked with on their ground manners at least. A couple are two young to be saddle broke, and a couple too old, buit really, what to they think they are doing? I can go to the local stock market and pick up a backed in nice gelding for under $100 tomorrow. Why would I want an unbroke, unruly rescue that has had no work done? I'm sure there would be plenty of horse lovers outt here happy to work with the horses to give them ground manners and surely there woul dbe a breaker willing to back them in for minimum fees. I dunno, seems a bit weird to me. Conversly, I'll take the 2nd last one in a heartbeat! I'm sure she can fit in my backyard.
