Navy Ring?

Any of my US friends on here have any contacts which would allow me to track down who owned a Navy ring? It was at San Diego, class of 1971 with a 304 below it. It has the initials DLA engraved within. The ring was made my Jostons which I know is a common AS ring maker over there. I've tried them, they couldn't help me as they do BILLIONS of them. I've tried a few on-line sites and no joy, looks like no one has ever listed 304 as their class? regiment? Something like that. Craig has come into possession of it and we'd love to know where one earth it came from and how it came to be here.
