Oh I had the same fear, I first read it at like 8 or 9, then again about 16 and then didn't pick it up until I was in my early 30's (god I sound old! I'm only 37!!!!) and I loved this just as hard or harder than I did before :) Re David's autobio...I warn you now it's...oddly dry. I don't know how t o explain it, he certainly gives you plenty of wonderful stories from his life but...I found it very hard to get into. It's worth it tho. The audiobook is fabulous, especially as he reads it himself ;)
