We are in full winter mode here. VERY cold. Nowhere near enough rain tho. In fact, it's quiet concerning. We need a couple very decent downfalls to be safe for the summer. Cold enough tho. I've picked up my 2nd usual winter cold. This one seems to be primarily coughing. Such joy. I am so sick of catching everything that goes around. It comes from being around people. If i didn't have to be around filthy humanity, I'd be fine :P
Foot is still very unhappy in that one spot so walking around hurts like hell. Driving me nuts!!!!
3 months til America and Canada :)
Went into the Dandenongs yesterday with Craig. The market was on in Emerald so we had Polish pancakes and Golzames :D Then we went to the National Rhodedendoron Gardens. I couldn't walk much at all but had a little fun with macro.
Plan for today is read, read some more, read, oh and then read :) I might even throw in a bit of reading.

Floyd. Every night. We have war games on the bed. I have developed reflexes like you wouldn't believe.

At my worst I couldn't even walk down to get Desi, so Craig has been helping :D

She's so fluffy!!!!And filthy. But very happy :)

Don't let the blue skies fool you, it is NOT warm

One thing I can do is ride without pain, so have been doing that. This is on the Dandenong/Eastlink track I ride most frequently. I also took the bike to work to ride the Gardiner CReek Trail. I give myself 20min one way. That gives me a 40min ride, and 20mins all up to get to the track, set up, set down, get back to work. Has been working a treat :)

Kirsti and I at parkrun this past Saturday. It was our 200th! I was RD and I chose a Back to the '80's theme which everyone seemed to really enjoy. I also turned the course around and make them all run it the other way around. People either love or loathe that :D Kirsti in particular ADORES the 80's and it was for her sake that I chose that theme. It was a hard day for her on Friday, the 13th anniversary of her daughter Paige being born sleeping. It's always hard, but harder when it's a milestone that like. I was utterly spent Friday night after shifts but I took her out to the Salvo's store and we spent a happy hour picking out and trying on the most daggy, 80's things we could find. She loved that and we spent a very happy couple hours telling each other inappropriate jokes, yelling abusive things at other drivers (with our windows up, we're not rude!), eating doughnuts, and in general enjoying ourselves. I have my uses :)

The whole time I was RD, I was also baby sitting this little sweetheart!!!! She is 9 weeks old, 3/4 Koolie, 1/4 Whippet. Her name is Entai (yes like the pokemon) and was smelled SO GOOD. SO FLUFFY! SO ADORABLE!!!! Way too young to be out and about but it was safer than leaving her at home. Not mine, obviously. But in my arms 99% of the two hours we were there. Her human-mum was MORE than happy to leave baby sitting duties to me :D

teeny tiny moss :)

Loved these leaves, the light green patches were actually part of the leaf, not light play. So pretty!

these were TINY! Very happy I got them

Moss river :)

again, teeny tiny!! Cannot believe this worked out!

I love the patterns on this leaf. This is why I love macro so much. People don't tend to notice the incredible beauty all around them, preferring vast sweeping vistas. But if you just look a little closer...

I like Lichen too :D

It's not always about macro ;)

Although it usually is ;)

one thing I would dearly love to do is a Photography Course. I'm totally self taught and it shows. I'm not bad but I feel I could do so much better. Quite like this shot tho :)

Got home and made my famous (LOLL!!!!) slow cooked chicken soup. Yep, it gets a stick of cinnamon and a few star anise. As well as as much veggies as I can fit in the pot.

Picked this stone up when I was in the UK. He was peeping out at me from the sand at a beach we went to. I think it's awesome. Little British beach-spirit. He lives in my little fish tank for now :)

Macro. Moving creature. Through glass. Through water. You can call this shoot a fail or you can call it artistic. Your call :D :D :D

The same applies. I got his red-flash tail,I'm happy :P Gods, I just HAD to pick the single hardest type of photography, didn't I? No nice easy posed portraits or vast sweeping landscapes for me, noooooo, I had to go and pick the most heart-breaking thing since bird photography :D

These type of shots aren't too hard to get but they are static and more than a little boring. I want to TRY and master moving-macro. This one is good to show his colour and condition tho. Still a bit on the lean side. Like any animal that is needing groceries, have to take it slow and easy.Fish can bloat from too much food if their system isn't used to it, which is as fatal as colic in a horse can be. So, slow but gradual conditioning it is.

every morning

ARTY SHOT! Took this from overhead with the white sand below. Seriously pleased with this shot. Got the eye lens! And the delicate fins. Very pleased with it indeed. A de-saturated it, looks better no colour.

Arty shot 2. Was getting braver here :) The leaf below him was green but it distracted from the whole.

Kept the colour in this one.
