Having an indoor-outdoor cat is always a calculation, it's always a risk. And sure, there are the obvious risks of the cat running away, the cat getting lost, the cat getting hurt, but these are not the risks we are talking about. Having an indoor-outdoor cat might mean that your cat… could have a summer vacation home. Your cat will be visiting your neighbors on a regular basis, your cat might adopt a second family under your nose, your cat may cause mayhem in the neighborhood, and you will only find out about it in retrospect.

Usually, these interactions are funny. Harmless. But not always. Cats… their behavior is, for the most part, predictable. Neighbors, on the other hand, not so much. And an interaction that you think is entirely pawsitive and harmless can turn into something vastly different very, very quickly. Just like it did in this story. Be careful with who you let around your cats, guys, because not everyone has pure intentions.

Every cat owner knows that one of the main advantages of having cats over dogs is that they are self-sufficient. You can stay stress-free while spending 8+ hours at work while your fluffy felines nap at home, and then enjoy their screams for food as you walk in the door. You can even go away for a weekend every once in a while with just someone to check in on them and make sure they have enough food and water. Dogs, however, need walks in the middle of the day and are not the best at staying home alone.

That doesn't mean that you can go away for multiple days at a time, constantly, and expect them to be okay. No house cat is that self-sufficient. That's why the flatmate in the story below is deciding to confront her roommate about being a bad pawrent - she leaves her cat alone for multiple days at a time, constantly, and just recently was gone for 9 days. Do you think she should say something? Read through all the details below.

We always knew we wanted to have a bunch of cats, even when we were kids. Our mom and dad were dog lovers, and don't get us wrong, we loved our pets. But we always wished for a kitten (or five) to play with. Well, now that we're adults, we can have all that and more! We're currently a father to four pawsitively purrfect kitties - one we found randomly at a construction site, two we adopted from a shelter, and one we took from a friend's cat that had kittens.

Anyway, that desire to be a pawrent is a strong feeling that you can't deny. Sometimes, it's so strong that the Cat Distribution System hears your soul's cries for cats to love, and it presents you with your deepest desire. While walking in the middle-of-nowhere Arizona, one woman heard 'the tiniest of cries' and found three tiny kittens stuck in a PVC pipe. She rescued them, adopted them, and well, the rest is history. This devoted pawrent is seriously feline the ache of missing her soulmate cat, who's been living with her parents for the past few years. After spending his early years as an indoor apartment kitty curled up with her, life's chaos whiskered them apart. Now, after years of uncertainty and couch-surfing, she's finally settled with a loving partner, a spacious two-floor apartment, and dreams of reuniting with her beloved boy.

The tricky bit? Her cat's been half-outdoor at her parents' place (despite not really loving the outdoors or the other pets), and the idea of whisking him away, especially without her father's support, feels stressful. Still, it's clear the bond hasn't faded. During a rare visit, her cat instantly melted into her arms. Talk about purrfect love.

Now she's wondering: should she ask her mom to bring him for a slow, snuggly trial stay? She wants to do right by her feline bestie, but also can't ignore the growing urge to bring him home, once and fur all.

Honestly? This sounds like a reunion meant to be. He chose her once. With care, patience, and treats, he'll likely choose her again.

Few things are as magical as when a cat transforms into a perfect little purrito, wrapped snug and cozy in a soft blanket, radiating pure feline bliss! Seeing your furball all rolled up like a warm, fuzzy tortilla with paws tucked in tight and whiskers twitching in dreamland is irresistibly adorable. It's like a feline fiesta of comfort, the ultimate cat cuddle moment!

Whether it's a mid-afternoon nap or a late-night cuddle session, purritos bring a whole new meaning to "wrapped with love." Plus, they're surprisingly versatile. Some cats prefer a loose fold, while others like a tight wrap that could rival any burrito joint's best roll. Either way, it's a paw-some reminder that cats are masters of relaxation and the kings and queens of cozy.

So next time you see your kitty all bundled up, resist the urge to unroll them . After all, who wouldn't want to be a purrito? It's the cat's way of saying, "I'm comfy, I'm content, and this cozy little bundle is my happy place." Long live the purrito, the fluffiest, most adorable wrap in the cat kingdom!

Four months after the painful loss of a beloved indoor cat to cancer, this cat lover is grappling with an emotional dilemma. A friend's cat, once cherished, has been pushed aside since the arrival of a new baby. She's now confined mostly to the kitchen or left outdoors, met with shouting if she tries to come inside. It's clear the cat is no longer getting the love or attention she needs, and the poster is heartbroken watching her live this way.

The thought of taking her in is tempting, especially since the cat was mostly an indoor pet before, but the timing feels complicated. Not only is the grief of losing a pet still fresh, but the cat's recent outdoor lifestyle raises concerns. Would it be cruel to transition her back to a life indoors, even with access to a catio? The poster worries about the cat's quality of life, and also about the emotional weight of adopting again so soon.

It's a tough, heartfelt situation to balance compassion, grief, and what's best for the cat. But the care and thought going into the decision already show the kind of home any animal would be lucky to have.

Often on this page we do our best to help you handle the hardships of working life. Managing the meetings, dampening the drama of deadlines and reducing the repugnance of reports. But today we want to help you flip the script, because sometimes like when you have a clawminal cat child, the only way your belligerent boss is going to learn that they had better leave you alone and stop bother you is to get all up in their face, matching their maddening energy and giving them a taste of their own medicine.

So we made this list of feisty feline funnies that you can channel when you are ignorantly ignoring your boss. So get yourself a pen and paper to note down your favorite feline feistiness to keep in your pocket for later. Just make sure to use them wisely.

Being a pawrent is a tall order in this world. Not only are you tasked with the trouble of working through the week, but in all and any of the limited free time you actually have leftover, you end up caring and chasing after your cat or hooman child. And with all that calamity and chaos surrounding you the very first thing you need is just one simple and sweet minute to yourself.

Which is exactly what we figured you might need, and so we made this list of chill cat memes for pawrents such as yourselves who just need a minute. Because there is nothing more restorative and refreshing than being reminded that cat and hooman children can be chill, and that if you keep on keeping on, you too might manage to make it to the point where your child calms down too.

Oh, man. This night will never end. It started with us trying to go to sleep normally, but then our cat decided to jump on us and meow loudly right at our faces. We thought this was where it ended, but then the cat meowed loudly for us to get up and open the balcony door, so they could… watch bugs or something, we have no idea. And did it end there? Nope. When 3 am hit, our cat entered a serious zoomies mode. He started parkouring on all the furniture while screaming at ghosts, and we stayed awake.

Since we're already awake, we did some zoomies research and found something that might pass the time - hissterical cat memes for waiting out your cat's zoomies session. Like, you're already awake because your cat decided to cosplay a demon tonight or something, so you might as well enjoy some silly feline funnies while you're at it. All this meowing cat comedy will keep you awake and laughing.

We know that we complain about cats being chaotic a lot. We do, we know. It's just not great when their chaos is directed at our favorite vase. But we don't actually hate it. Our cats being chaotic little criminals is one of the things that we love them most about them. Truly. Because it's just… so funny. Cats stealing food off our plates when we turn around for exactly 0.3 seconds? Funny. A cat being on the run after robbing a supermarket and stealing precisely 3 sausages? Hilarious. A delinquent cat stealing socks and causing problems in a couple's marriage? Way funnier than you would think it could be.

And today, a cat messing with a person and their crows. Yes, messing with them. Because that is exactly what this cat was doing. There is no other way to explain such silly behavior. And we love it. Happy ending for all… more or less. If you consider having 50 crow companions as a result of saving them from the delinquent cat a happy ending, that is.

As a fellow feline fanatic, we are not afraid to admit that we do a lot of weird things with our cats. We sing them made-up songs on the daily. We kiss their smelly, tuna mouth gladly. We let them sleep on our faces at night, knowing full well that their paws are disgusting. We dress them up in awwdorable outfits and let them walk down their own purrsonal catwalk. But we have never licked our cats. Although the thought has crossed our minds before.

We mean, it kind of makes sense. Cats lick things all the time. They seem to enjoy it. Maybe one day, we will try it on one of our own cats, but certainly not a stranger's cat. Well, that's what this Missouri homeowner found when perusing his purrfectly normal door-cam footage… until he found out it wasn't normal at all. The delivery guy can be seen licking his cat after delivering the package, and then walking away. Yes, you read that right. Scroll down to see it for yourself!

Good meowrning, feline friends and fam. We woke up this morning with our cats littered around us like someone sprinkled sprinkles on a cupcake, and if you love cats as much as we do, that's the best way to wake up. It was so meowrvelous, in fact, that we had a lot of difficulty prying ourselves out of bed to go to work today. Well, we have a lot of trouble getting to work every day, but that's a story for a different day.

The only thing that we knew would pawsitively bring us some happiness today would be the joy of scrolling through some fluffy feline funnies. If we must leave our cute cats at home for 8+ hours, we need to fill our kitty comedy quota with the help of cat memes filled with catnip comedy. Be warned, though - these memes are purrfectly addictive. You might not want to stop, but that's the whole point. There are enough silly kitties in the form of memes to keep you occupied until you get back to your purrfectly precious felines at home. Enjoy!

Ah, the story of the cat hater. We have heard many of those. People keep telling us that they hate cats, but we know the truth… We, real cat people, know that they simply have not met the right cat yet. Yes, it is that simple. Cats can win anyone over. We have seen it time and time again. We've seen dads who've hated cats their whole lives suddenly get adopted by a cat and fall in love with them. We have seen moms who hated cats fall in love with a single-braincelled orange kitten who stopped at absolutely nothing to make that happen. We've seen a boyfriend who hated cats go out of his way to save their girlfriend's cat when it got stuck in a cupboard, therefore forever losing his cat hater card.

And today, another story. A girlfriend who hated cats - truly and honestly hated them - was won over. And all it took was the cat showing her a little real affection at a time when she needed it. Yes, it really is that easy.

Kittens can find themselves in the darndest places. Stuck in their curious adolescent dog, feline babies are not only over-equipped to climb up the highest trees or burrow deep into the narrowest drainage pipes, they're not exactly smart enough to get themselves out of purrcarious pawsitions. But that's where helpful hoomans come into play.

This construction worker was not the kind of man you'd expect to be cuddling up to the smolest kitten, but when a litter of kitties caught in the wrong place at the wrong time turned up on the job site, he stepped up to be a hero. With rough, workman's hands and a soft, cat lover soul, he managed to save 1 lucky tortie who will always have a place to call home from now on—all thanks to one strong man who skipped a meal on his lunch break to take the kitten to the vet.
