While we were there, the horses that were for sale were being displayed for some French buyers. I was invited to watch as by now the lady Director realised I was a true horse lover and would not in any way interfere. The grooms only wear the uniform for special occasions like these presentations. i was extremely fortunate to be there at the right time and will be always grateful for the hospitality and trust they showed me by allowing me free rein of the stud.

I call this one my Arabian Magazine Cover shot, how the hell I got such a good shot I will never know ;-)

Ah yes, the grace and refinement of the proud and ancient bloodline of the Arabian horse....

Wheeeee......

Anyone else think the pink on this fellow's nose looks like a butterfly with a long tail?

Now I need to explain these pics of the bay mare here. Her foal which was only two weeks old at the time is just out of shot here. She plays up because the foal was calling out to her. In one pic it looks like the groom is going to lay into her. he actually is pulling the whip out of the way so she doesn't hurt herself on it, they use the whip to tickle the horse's noses and get them to stretch their necks, they never ever hit them with it. You can see the grooms adore these horses and the lady Director lives for them. The buyers were very sweet too and asked she not be asked to stand-up in the traditional way. They were very friendly to me too, esp when they found out I'm an Aussie :-)
