what to put in that cnr... birchs grow 11 feet in 20 years, that's a little bit big when you are trying to be considerate towards neighbours as well. I had a quick-ish walk through Bunnings and there are a couple other rather nice/pretty options that don't grow as big but would do well there, including a few fruit trees. I found the most BEAUTIFUL gum that I would KILL for but my garden is far too small and it that thing fell or dropped branches it would land on mine or neighbours houses. I really need those 50 acres, you know? Tree needs to be pretty as it will be a focal point as soon as you walk out, so it needs to be something your eye catches and appreciates. If I can get that little concrete seat under it even better. Hmmm hmmmm hmmmmm. Perhaps another apple tree? Maybe a pear tree? There is room there for about 3 trees, perhaps four depending on what I get. Maybe a trip to Chris and Maries will help me get a better picture. I was hoping to get whatever I choose into the ground late next month, so I need to make some sort of decision about then. Also to help me kill off a bit more grass and help off set the carbon footprint I leave behind me, I've decided to very very slowly start thinking about doing a centre bit in the garden, but that's more likely next years plans. I really need to think of something for the front bit... full sun, eye catching, non invasive, non dangerous.... maybe an apple tree.... god I'm a fruit bat.....
