Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Eve party was good but I was just really worn out for some reason so I piked early and drove home. Standing there in the driveway was my bike! :-) I popped her into the garage and fell asleep with a huge grin all over my face. This morning parents and I had a bit of a..... chat... about whether or not I'd be keeping her at home, I won. I have had a pretty good Christmas, everyone seemed to love their gifts. I love what I got as well. Although why mum keeps buying me the really short PJ's with singlets I will never know; I don't WEAR singlets or short shorts. I mean, yeah they are cute, but not me. I don't understand her. I haven't worn that stuff for 27 years, but she still gets it for me every damn year. Other gifts were great. Martin and Diana got me The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, keep wanting to type it as Da Da Vince Code. :-) Craig and Marion got me chocolate, a puzzle with a scorpion (solved!), a doggy fridge magnet and a coffee mug with 'Dog Lover' on it, it's SUPER cute!!!!
On Eve I drove down to the paddock, just as the sun went down. I spent about 2 hours down there, just cuddling with the horses. Destiny especially didn't want me to go, We stood there about 45 mins at one stage, just leaning on each other, watching the stars. I had my face buried in her mane, gently stroking her neck, she was all relaxed and falling asleep, letting out these deep contented sighs. It got very dark and all I could see was the light of the stars in her eyes when she'd turn her head to nuzzle my arm or whatever.
I love my horses.
