So damn sad
Dec. 29th, 2004 03:05 pmOh man....
Went to the shops with Al the other day and got 'Angels and Demons' by Dan Brown, same guy who wrote The Da Vinci Code. As we waited in line to pay, I watched the people at the returns counter, looking at the bitchy looks on their faces as they returned gifts someone took the time and effort to get them. And I thought to myself, gee, they are pissed off that they didn't get the DVD or whatever they wanted, and not all that far away from here there are literally thousands and thousands of people who's entire lives have been destroyed by the tsunami. They have lost family, friends, work collegues (joking aside, we all know that no matter how much we bitch about them, we still care about the people we work with), homes, entire cities. Their entire lives. Imagine that. Imagine loosing everyone. EVERYone.
Somehow that slightly lame gift you got from Aunt Thelma isn't so bad, is it?
