Mar. 8th, 2005 02:14 amIncredible, just incredible what I have to do to gain damn access to this site from work. I have to get to it in THE most roundabout assed manner you could imagine. But, one perservers. Must be my Mongol Invader blood coming through. Yet another 10 hour shift. Hoorah. actually got a couple of jobs so far, including one where Pakenham SES found a car rolled and the occupant trapped inside. That was... interesting. I guess if someone is to find you after that happens to you, may as well be a whole Emergency Rescue unit out for a jaunt.
Paperball fights with Rob and me are getting out of hand, we're snipers now, trying to get each other when we least expect it, and dragging everyone else into it in the process. Good fun.
Got the saturday night before Ride of the Bounds off so that means I can go! YIPEEEE! I have been wanting to do that for years, now I finally get to! I better call into McGarrys..er... later today and book a double float. Dare say demand will be high for that weekend. It looks like it will be a good fun ride. Almost considered buying a pair of jodphurs for it but couldn't quite bring myself to do it. I guess I could, get some nice blue or dark green Dublins, drag out my Aigles and polish them up, get that gorgeous vest Dublin has out this year and really doll myself up a bit.... complete with purple helmet. ;-) Actually, I don't HAVE to weat a helmet so if I want to be a total dick I could go without. But don't think I'll do that, quite frankly.
3 hours to go, this break and one more to go. Then I get to ride home. Riding in the wet was sorta fun. It's good to be out in the elements for some reason, just feels.... better. Colder, but better. :-)
