Paso Finos... the ultimate crack horse

This is a Paso Fino. They do this naturally. My American freinds tell me this gait is super smooth and the horses themselves are absoluely lovely. I have now made it a life goal to ride a Paso Fino. I swear to god tho it looks like they are totally on crack. :-D

yeah they do! Appatently they are really, really comfy as in, you don't get jolted at all. I found one stud here in VIC that breeds Paso's, but they aren't pure. Seriously, is the coolest thing!

Iz some craaaazy shitz, that!!!! First time I saw it (last night) I swear to god I almost wet myself I was laughing so hard. If I saw that coming at me, I'd completly freak out. I like it tho, waaaant one, but we don't have many here in Australia, so have to come invade the States for a bit in a few years. List of horses I want to ride there is getting long, Paso Fino, Rocky Mountain Pony, Tennesse Walker, Mustang.... it keeps on growing!

Hey! I keep telling you to come to the states! I've got a couple gaited horses for you to ride! I used to work at a paso fino farm as well! I could get you a ride! lol
I don't have videos of my horses really, but I'll show you examples of their gaits from youtube.

I have a kentucky mountain saddle horse. They are related to the rocky mtn horse breed.




I also have a Standardbred Horse, they were bred for speed. When he really gets going he gaits like this



I also have a paint mare who does a throwback gait called a singlefoot or amble.

I can't really find the video of it. but they are all VERY smooth to ride.

LOL! You know I'm gonna invade you when I get there :-) Is just a matter of saving the $$$ to get over there and getting enough Leave at my work. I had like, 2 months stored up at the old place but yeah, I left *rolls eyes*. We have loads and loads of Standardbreds here, I've had ago riding one when it was pacing, I don't mind it bt I did find it jolting, which is why the idea of riding a horse that does an alternative gait that is said to be super smooth intrigues me. What are Paso personalities like? I hear they are quite sweet?

hehehehee, it;'s just such a novelty to have a gaited horse in Australia, they really are highly uncommon. and I just reallylike the idea of doing that little power walk down the rd to the trails and freaking out everyone else, but that's just me. :-)
