Terri the terrible, and one very awesome good fun bike ride!

Well Terri's done her dash with me already. 

 She did the whole talk over the top of the caller thing as usual but I just ignored her. The Alarm system crashed so that kept her busy for a while. Then she was busy putting her application together for a Pychology course (god help us all). We didn't get any calls from the public until just before shift end.  And that's when she showed her true colours. When people go for ages without paying their water bill and all the rigour of trying to work out a payment plan etc has been unsuccessful, we put a special sort of device on their meter which cuts off their water to a mere trickle. It allows them drinking water if they are patient, but that's it. You pay your bill, we t ake it off.  Some people try to be clever and try to take the device off. Not a good idea; you will damage your meter and make things that much worse. Anyway, this guy had his water restricted. He tried to get the device off and cracked his pipe. So he calls here. It was pretty obvious what had happened; we can see restrictions. Terri started in on this guy right away, yelling at him, yelling over the top of him, trying to force him to admit what he'd done. Then she said the unforgiveable; it's not my problem, you should handle your finances better and you wouldn't get into this mess. How DARE she say something like that???? Oh... my god. She has no idea what their circumstances are.  The people may have lost their jobs, they may be in serious, serious trouble, and she says something like that! She was yelling and carrying on, it was full on distressing me so I got up and went to the kitchen to try and distance myself, that;s when she full on started shouting at this guy. I couldn't get away from it! It got so bad that I just went outside and waited for John.  When I came back up to tidy up, she was gloating about how she cut this guy up. Far out. She full on distressed me. To the extent where I was going to say something to her. But I don't want to cause waves so I've emailed Adam asking for his advice. I can't work with her like this.

Al came to visit me at work at the end of his shift... on the back of  one of those new tri-cycles. These have just been approved here in Australia as road bikes. Weirdest looking things you have ever seen. Two wheels at the front, one at the back. The body sort of swings so you still lean around cnrs, and the 250cc version locks when you stop at lights so it stays upright. The 500cc one you lock manually or can leave free. We went for a hoon before work. MY GOD! It's soooo much fun!!!!!!! Very comfy and very quick, and peoplem were STARING at us! Al and I were killing ourselves laughing at the reactions we were getting. Guys were walking backwards into cars, drivers were gaping, passengers were giving themselves whiplash, and bike riders were almost coming off. It was bloody HILARIOUS! Just what I needed; I've been very down lately. I took pics of the scooter, under the cit, enjoy.

eah the weak little ones that you see people riding around in ankle socks form my loathing, but this thing is like the V6 of the scooter world (not quite V8!) and it's hella fun.
Many things, primarily money. Normally wouldn't let it get to me but 've been sick and that brings down my defences. Got worse today when my car finance company rang and stressed me out saying they never got the payments. 'm like um yeah you did and quoted all the dates 've paid, amounts and receipt numbers. Lady on the line was pretty good, she said omg sorry the system is screwed and we fixed it all. But then it turns out that when i was changing over from the old job to 'us' they screwed up and didn't take a whole months payment back in June. So now they wanted me to pay almost $400 extra with my next wage. i'm like um no, not going to happen; i need to eat. So she called her supervisor, i offered to make up the amount by putting extra on my payments but the supervisior said no look that will cause you hardship as well and we're not going to do that. So basically i am now always a month behind. Been told just call up and authorise extra payment when you can i.e if i score some decent overtime or whatever. About as likely to happen as gold falling from the sky, but at least that is all settled. Also found out i only have 23 months left on the car, thank god!!!! Now to start thinking about if i want to pay out the final amount at the end or go for a smaller 2nd hand more fuel economically vehicle. More than likely that is what i will end up doing, something small, cheap, little run-about. Just feels like suddenly all the stupid directly paid accounts i have have lost their minds. First the mobile, now the car. waiting for citylink, the motorbike co and i dunno, maybe mortgage account to go nuts! it's all easily sorted out but it's so stressful and frustrating, not good when you are already down.

yep they're scooters. it took aaaages for them to be approved here as road worthy, you more than likely will start seeing them up your end of the world once your spring and summer hits. Seriously, they're so much fun it should be illegal :-D
