Wishing you all a merry, safe and fun Christmas wherevere you may happen to be in the world :-)
Rant - heheheheheheeee, sorry; horsey post next to make up for it, and I swear it's NOT Christmas related AT ALL ;-)
For those keeping score on the weather front, today was aprox 38C, with a sudden, short, short thunderstorm at about midday, now it's boiling hot again. Bring on the CHANGE!!!

in case you are all wondering where Lilly is: she was WAY too ADHD to stay still long enough for a shot, Pokie just wussed out and looked depressed in all of them. And these were taken just under a month after I got the kittens. Yes, I've been holding on to them for this long :P

Third picture: "OM NOM NOM! Tinsel gooooood!"

All really nicely done... what were you lighting with and using as a background?

LOL!!! That's my Murray boy, hwo now gets called Murray Oreo a lot, just rolls off the tongue.
Well, let's see, I used the EOS 400D, had a strobe set up just to my right, another one a bit off to my left and another one (much smaller) down by his side on the right to give a little back light. All had pocket wizards on them so they all went off at the same time on their lowest setting. The background, believe it or not, is just paper, from a large roll of plain white we got at the arts shop. The animals are up on the dining room table for these shots, and the paper is simply sticky-taped up over the curtains :-) VERY technical :-D

Neat! Well you're definitely more technical than me with lighting -- I don't even own a strobe or a pocket wizard yet! But I should really learn how to use something other than natural lighting at some point, haha!

It rubs off; Al is VERY into the strobes and playing with light. He gets some pretty incredible results, has really studied it. I've started playing around with it but I think with a lot of the photography you and I tend to do i.e horses, it'd be more of a pain than anything else re set up. Might get some awesome resulst in controlled situtaions tho. You remember the pics of me and the horses at the beach earlier this year? he did that with strobes. Worked out well since it was a very overcast day and the light was a bit crap.
