1.Favourite childhood book?
The Adventures of the Wishing Chair, Enid Blyton. They've just released all the books with the original illustrations and I am SO tempted to buy them :D Actually I loved all the Blyton books...
2.What are you reading right now?
Child of the Prophecy - Juliet Marillier
3.What books do you have on request at the library?
none at the moment, hardly have ANY time to read and many of my own books to read when I have
4.Bad book habit?
i won't keep reading if the first few pages don't grab me
5.What do you currently have checked out at the library?
Nothing.
6.Do you have an e-reader?
i love, adore, worship my Kindle
7.Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once?
usually about 2 at a time, plus probably Country Style magazine
8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog?
Not really.

My text book :D

Anything by Robin Hobb :D
11. What book defines/defined you teenage years.
The Dragonlance books

Country Style, it feeds my soul

yep. Bus, train, plane...at red lights in my own car... :D

in the big soft green leather chair in my living room
15. What is your policy on book lending?
will lend only to trusted friends
16. Do you ever dog-ear books?
NEVER!!!! What a filthy, dirty, disgusting habit D:

very rarely

with them, all the time

English. I can read Polish but it's very slow going!
20. What makes you love a book?
Excellent character development, a great plot, something new such a variation on a concept. That magical SOMETHING that drags you in and makes you a part of the story.
21. What will inspire you to recommend a book?
rarely do

Fantasy
23. Genre you rarely read (but wish you did?)
Really good horror.
24. Favourite biography?
The Stephen Fry books :)
25. Have you ever read a self-help book?
No.
26. Favourite cookbook?
Country Women's association
27. Most inspirational book you've read this year (fiction or non-fiction)?
The Fry Chronicles, by Stephen Fry. He inspires me to delve deeper into the English language. I know my writing in this blog has gotten worse, it will improve when I have time to relax again!
28. Favourite reading snack?
Fruit, or if I'm feeling bad, flavoured rice cakes or or or omg TOOBS!!!!!
29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience.
The Rabbit with the Jade Eyes :( SO many rave reviews, SUCH a crap book...
30. How often do you agree with critics about a book?
I never read reviews any more unless they are by writers who I love and trust, mainly because I just never seem to agree with what others have to say about the quality of a book.
31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews?
I don't do reviews
32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you chose?
Japanese
33. Most intimidating book you've ever read?
Trainspotting, mainly because trying to read phonetic Scottish is terrifying!!!!

Les Miserables

don't really have one
36. How many books do you usually have checked out of the library at any given time?
usually 2 or 3 if they are big, otherwise about 9

usually there will be one or two which I start and not like :P

Oh jesus, just one? Um, either Fitz from the Farseer Triology, or Navare from the Soilder Son.

Whatever is on my Kindle :)

The Silver Brumby

My Sisters Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I could have KILLED them for what they did to that book :( The most AMAZING book, what they did to it should go down as a crime against humanity.
46. The most money I've ever spent in the bookstore at one time?
about $100...on one book.It was a gift, I made someone EXTREMELY happy :)
47. How often do you skim a book before reading it?
Pretty much always, I like to open to a random page and read a line or two to see if I like the writing style.
48. What would cause you to stop reading a book half-way through?
If it was really crap. Has happened a few times :(
49. Do you like to keep your books organized?
YES! Series must be kept TOGETHER, in time-line wise! Or ELSE! Other wise in publishing order if by the same author but not the same series :P
50. Do you prefer to keep books or give them away once you've read them?
I recently gave away about 90% of my books, I only keep the ones I really love. I just don't have the room. It's different with the Kindle :)
51. Are there any books you've been avoiding?
Les Misérables by V. Hugo, everyone says it's so good, I'm so scared I won't enjoy it!
52. Name a book that made you angry.
Oh god, that book I gave you as a gift a year or two ago, Melissa. What the hell was it called? About that crazy damn woman?

My Sisters Keeper :D

The Sword of Shannara series. Tried so hard, just hated it from chapter one :/ Been trying to find an epic fantasy for so long :(

On a side note, I got Craig and I a copy of Planet Word today. Can not WAIT to start it, it's my waiting reward for when I finish my last exam and hand in my last paper :)
