I love both. Why? Because I believe if you love animals, truly love animals, you don't give in to stereotypes. You don't think all dogs are loyal, or all cats are aloof. You love an animal in and for itself. I simply love animals, all animals.

i don't see why having preferences as to which animals i'd rather surround myself with means that i don't love all animals.

i love most of them but if it comes to making a choice between having a dog or a tarantula as a pet, i'd go with dog- or even cat, for that matter.

i've lived with dogs and cats and a dog definitely suits my lifestyle better. i'm never home and a dog can be out and about with me.
